This dynamic team of uber sensational entrepreneurs, designers and industry veteran will be a force to be reckoned with. Strong personalities, diverse backgrounds and fashion connoisseurs will week on week leave you hungry for more critiques.
Presenting this amazing search is “Fab Doll” the divalicious and sassy Rachael Nsofor. As co-producer, we can expect the production to be a well thought-out colourful mind-blowing experience. Well known within the beauty and entertainment world, She has been judges in shows like TMC, Miss Black Britain to name a few.. this trendsetter will no doubt take the audience through the journey with her wit and flamboyance and set an enviable tone to the show.
Best known for his work and contribution to the world of fashion and modeling; An ambassador for the under-represented “ Top models of colour” and sharing his passion for fashion as Creative director is Sola Oyebade. He is renowned around the world for being the man that made the Italian Vogue all black issue the biggest selling Vogue ever, helping to change the attitudes within the modeling industry. The audience is set to be amazed by the passion and in-depth knowledge of the industry artistically translated throughout the show. With such an acclaimed and well informed background we are sure to be educated yet entertained by Sola Oyebade’s critical but definitive voice in the search for the first ever UberAfrica unmasked designer of the year.
Co-producer/ Mentor: Oyeyiga Omiyale
is owner of budding fashion label “Yiga“. This naturally predisposed designer raised on her parents tailoring production line, has an eye for distinct fashion trends, from the punk to the more minimalist preppy days that have left an indelible influence in designs celebrated in today’s everyday fashion. Having previously worked as part of the OHTV production team for Nigeria @ 50, Oyeyiga is well poised to share knowledge and experience of working as part of a team for big productions.
Co-Producer/ Mentor: Yetunde Ogunnubi who is an Entrepreneur is the creative director of Yetty D Brand – a soulful afro-urban designer, Artist and a fashion writer.
Who has been in the fashion industry for many years is well respected in the industry, having successfully hosted her own annual show for 4 years now, which she often features up and coming Designers and Artiste, also work has mentor to help nuture budding young designers. The contempoprary pop Fashion designer will be contributing fresh and contemporary qualities to the team.
Resident stylist: for the show is Italian born Sonia Munafo, the well travelled stylist Sonia is sure to bring an array of cultural influences to the production of UberAfrica. Having worked at renowned productions such as London Fashion week, expertise and professionalism are qualities fairly attributed to this bright designer. With such profound understanding of how concepts are best visually interpreted, whether as a fashion or interior stylist, the audience is sure to be graced by this adept creator.
Collectively, as owners of high-end fashion houses and years of experience working in the fashion industry; the contestants will have a hard task in proving their designs and technical design abilities, ensuring to bring their ‘A- Game’ every week. Efforts to keep the competition flavourful with different opinions and diverse expertise, an array of guest judges will be joining the panel every week to serve as the “voice of reason” and to give their opinions on how well the contestants have accomplished the tasks which was set before them and ultimately the design ensembles.
